Increase the span of Balloon Tip Display

Balloon tip by default possess a time span of 5 seconds …In case u want to increase the span or time of balloon tip display to around 10 seconds,then continue reading this small tweak

Open up notepad and copy paste the following

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
 
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify]
"BalloonTip"=dword:0000000a

Save the file as “balloontip.reg”.You can choose any name but the name must
be enclosed in double quotes and .reg extension should be present.

Now double click the reg file just created and press Yes.

That’s it… A logoff is needed for the changes to takes place

In case u want to increase or decrease according to ur choice then navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify\

and modify the BalloonTip value according to ur choice in terms of Decimal mode
